As a Keyholder, you will assist in managing and promoting all aspects of the business, including but not limited to buying, pricing, sales, merchandising, loss prevention, training and supervising staff, and providing an outstanding customer experience.  This position requires a detailed and analytical approach to management, including efficient daily task scheduling, problem-solving, and providing excellent customer service. You will also be responsible for maintaining the store’s appearance, organizing merchandise, processing sales, handling returns, tagging inventory, and keeping management informed about daily store activities.

Responsibilities:

·         Lead assigned shifts, ensuring that customers are greeted promptly, their needs are promptly identified, and all transactions are handled professionally and with enthusiasm. This includes following all standard daily and weekly operating procedures.
·         Opening and closing responsibilities, including but not limited to key control, locking and arming the store, and cash-handling responsibilities.
·         Become familiar with products, brands, and prices and make recommendations of products, including their features and benefits, to suit customers’ needs.  Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by adding items to the close of the sale.
· Purchase gently used, high-quality kids’ clothing, shoes, toys, books, and baby gear from our customer base and invite customers to return to the store with their used items to sell, educating them about the buying process.
·         Price and ticket items based on pricing and buying guidelines.  Restock the store following the merchandising plan. Maintain store displays and follow store housekeeping and maintenance standards and procedures.
·         Participate in in-store events and promotions, including planning, set-up, and day-of execution.
·         Develop proficiency in operating the POS system for all sales transactions, buys, returns, etc.
·         Work collaboratively with other team members and provide an outstanding customer experience. 
·         Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·         Prior Retail and/or customer service experience with proven leadership skills. 
·         Minimum of one year of experience as a shift lead/keyholder/team lead.
·         Ability to work well as a team member, accept constructive feedback, and follow directions.
·         Excellent communication, self-management, and interpersonal skills.
·         Sales and goal-oriented.
·         Excellent time management skills, multi-tasking ability, and a high level of responsibility.
·         Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, weekdays, and evenings. 

Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
·         Ability to life and/or push up to 40 lbs. without assistance. May involve heavier lifting with the assistance of a team member or a cart/dolly.
·         Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and to receiving, pricing and stocking merchandise.
·         Exposure to typical retail environment conditions and noise levels.
·         Able to operate a computerized sales terminal.
